10 A- Modern slavery has become one of the most
profitable underground businesses around the globe; whether it is human
trafficking or under privileged labor workers. Modern slavery in my view is
more dangerous than the older days when slaves were auctioned for in a market
and people would bid for them; nowadays slavery became a business for the rich
to trade the poor against their will and it also comes in a darker picture were
young boys/girls are being kidnapped and traded for whether for sexual favors,
trade in body parts, make them work for free or even just for abuse.
Modern Slavery should be enlisted over war against terror
because people trafficking humans, mistreating them is the real terror in this
world.
Love for others what you love for yourself; treat others how
you would like to be treated.
I myself or anyone I know has any slaves working under them,
due to the society we were brought up in, were it taught us right from wrong
and last but not least the thanking of our leaders and country for implementing
in our DNA from a very early age on how we should treat people and ourselves.
10 B- The UAE has a vision of becoming a trade mark around the
globe and to ensure the best living for its people as well as for the expats
whom are living & working here. The UAE has taken into deep consideration
through mistakes and education how to tackle it, they tackled it in such ways
as forcing education to its people so they can be self dependent and hold more
knowledge. The government took a stand by forcing education, what I mean by
forcing is that they created a rating criteria on how a person values his
future chances; The criteria is if a person wanted to earn a high salary being
recruited by good companies they would need to reach a certain level in
education and of course the higher the more comfortable life they get. By
saying that you can see what I meant in forcing is indirectly motivation
against yourself.
As for expats working the UAE established labor laws so that
international companies and governmental companies do not take advantage of the
third world labor workers. Laws as healthy livable accommodation, working
hours, holidays, minimum wage salaries, the protection to them if they were
abused through social non profitable associations ( labor union hotline), as
well as reporting it to the police.
UAE put a ceiling over any chance of modern slavery in its
own land by having regulation and rules for local and expat children that are
in the range of 21 for men and 25 for woman. Rules such as not allowing them to
travel without having their parents approval or the accompany for first family,
a parent cannot kick out their child even if they wished for, as for
immigration they implemented that for any person wanting to be a resident has
to have a sponsor and that sponsor should be a local, which he holds full
responsibility for any abuse that person may encounter forcibly.
In the points I have mentioned above you can see how the
country thrives to secure the people living within it and giving the people a
chance in ensuring a life that they will not have to encounter trafficking.

The ideas, custom and social behavior of a
society defines its current and past identity. All cultures in the world have
their own ways of preserving their customs, be it by rituals, folklore, and
history, or even buildings and artifacts. The UAE has put in great effort in
preserving its rich heritage and cultural legacy. Today, many of the ancient
traditions are widely practiced; falconry, pearl diving, music and dance, but
with the rapid urbanization they are at risk of disappearing. The fear of
losing the Emarati identity gave the older generation incentive to make sure
they pass on their customs to their children. The youth of today gather in
majleses regularly around some Arabic coffee and dates, just like their fathers
and grandfathers had done before them. They managed to preserve their national
dress in spite of the great pressure of westernization and they continue to
hold interest in their forefathers sports (falconry and camel racing). Time may
have changed but the strong Emarati identity has passed the test of time and
has remained intact of defining its locals in an urbanized UAE.
